Retirees attracted to Italian quality of life
A variety of cultural activities and a strong health service make Italy an especially attractive destination for those looking to purchase an overseas property once retired, the Global Property Group has said.
The independent firm has advised that a number of Britons are opting to scout out the area ahead of a potential move, with many liking the country enough to end up living there for good.
A gradual shift towards investing in the south of the country was also becoming apparent as buyers become attracted by lower prices, it was added.
"It's a different lifestyle, the weather is far nicer, there's quite a lot of exploring to do – a place like Italy is full of history," commented Global Property Group director Mike Dunkerley. |
